NewsYoga in Turkey with Julie - 11th to 18th October 2010 - Due to the popularity of the June week, I am now doing a return visit to Turkey - 11th to 18th October 2010Julie will be returning for a second week to HUZUR VADISI in October for AUTUMN TIME YOGA WITH JULIE IN TURKEY. Huzur Vadisi is a beautiful purpose built yoga centre in the southwest of Turkey near the little village of Gocek and 40 minutes from Dalaman Airport. Have a look on their website for full details of the venue (www.huzurvadisi.com). In October we will be able to sample the 'out of season' Turkey. The shops and restaurants are all still open, but it's very quiet, more a time for the locals, and the daytime temperatures are lovely. The sea is still warm and we will be able to do a boat trip and/or a beach trip. There are wonderful electric blankets on our beds and wood burners both in our yoga space and to gather round in the evening for a glass of local wine and a good chat. We will be including, if desired, three guided walks - one to the top of the mountain where views from the 'firewatch' station are wonderful and when the summer haze is cleared you can see Rhodes; one down the gorge into Gocek and one through the forest, so remember to bring walking boots if you like hiking. You will need to bring summer style clothes, but don't forget the warm top layers for the evenings, socks, and a waterproof jacket just in case. Its really a matter of dressing for two seasons - summer by day and autumn by night. The cost of this October week is £445 per person and includes 2 or 3 yoga classes daily, 3 guided walks, accommodation (in Yurts with heating) and three home cooked vegetarian meals a day. (It excludes flights, transfers, extra site seeing trips and treatments/massage). To book you will need to contact Julie Potter direct on 07828 132 091 or email: info@yogaforharmony.co.uk and send a deposit cheque of £100 payable to Julie to 74 Lewins Way, Slough, Berks, SL1 5HG. The balance will be due five weeks prior to departure (6th September 2010). This promises to be a lovely week of yoga, relaxation and fun all wrapped up together at the most spectacular location. So do come along.......... Testimonial from Marian Gray who came along to the week in June of this year................... "We spent a wonderful week at Huzur Vadisi with Julie Potter in June. Julie has a thorough but gentle and careful approach to posture work. She encouraged us to be playful and experimental with postures. My friends and I were amazed at the improvements we noticed in our hips and shoulders from just a little of this kind of work. Julie paid close attention to everyone's anatomy encouraging us to discover what was truly possible for us as individuals and unfold into the postures rather than forcing or trying too hard. There was much of value in her teaching for experienced practitioners and beginners alike. I'm sure that my week at Huzur Vadisi with Julie will have a lasting beneficial effect on my yoga practice."
