One to One/Small Group Yoga with Julie
Julie offers one-to-one yoga classes, focussing on individual needs, beyond that which can be achieved in a group class setting.
These sessions are particularly suitable for people recovering from, or living with an injury or illness, but also for those who want to improve their practice in a specific area.
Different Styles of Yoga
Yoga is often viewed in the West as a series of stretching exercises that appear almost gymnastic to a general onlooker, popularised as a way toward health and fitness for all. However, the postures are only a tiny fragment of the psychological philosophy that is Yoga.
Yoga is essentially a spiritual discipline based on an extremely subtle science, a discipline primarily intended to help create a union of our mind, emotions, body, and energy. It is an art and science of healthy living. The word ‘yoga’ comes from the Sanskrit root ‘yuj’ which literally means “to unite". The general meaning of yoga is union.
“Yoga is an effortless dance with breath and gravity.”
