About Me
My first experience of yoga in 1993 was Iyengar, but I have since experienced a wide range of teachers and yoga ‘styles’. My yoga today is an evolution of over 30 years of practice and study and is influenced mostly by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.
Whilst I work with traditional postures it is not my interest to ‘do’ the postures just to achieve a shape.
I believe that with an ‘attentive’ approach to movement, postures, breath, and one that is natural to the developmental history of the body, students can work within a range of ‘normal’ for them as an individual. My aim is to help bring back and maintain balance into my student’s mind, body and lifestyle. leading them to a state of well being that can take them through young, middle and old age, at their best potential.
Retreats
I usually run at least one retreat a year abroad or in the UK. In 2026 I will be offering a 5 night retreat in Slovakia and in 2027 a 7 night retreat at one of my favourite locations in Turkey.
