Filomena has been practicing and studying Yoga for over 25 years and teaching since 2000.
Filomena has been practicing and studying Yoga for over 25 years following a first career in Occupational Psychology,
vocational guidance and counselling.
She left the latter to prioritise family life and later qualified as a Teacher with The British Wheel of Yoga.
Her focus in personal practice, self-study, and research is reflected in her classes, workshops and course themes.

• The Chakras- A subtle energy awareness;
Facilitated for various organisations including: - The N.H.S; The John Lewis Partnership; Age Concern Carers and Homeless Charities; Family, Youth, Adult Learning and Well-Being Services; Mental Health and Support Groups; The British Wheel of Yoga; And The Himalayan Institute (U.K).
During ‘Lockdowns’, she took this as an opportunity to develop and refine all her previous practice, study and teaching. Filomena took The Vishoka Meditation Master Course in 2020. Then, followed this up with The Vishoka Meditation Teachers Training Course which she successfully completed in August 2021 becoming amongst the 1st Group of Certified Vishoka Meditation Teachers- Globally!

In her ‘down time’, she is project managing the renovation of a granite barn in the mountains of Northern Portugal.
