The Yoga
The intention for the 5 days in Slovakia, is for students to have the opportunity and the time to look at aspects of their practice in depth and to develop an approach of self-enquiry and self knowledge. The classes are adaptable and encompass students of all levels of experience and ability. Whilst looking at traditional Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, we will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure. The holiday is open to beginners as well as experienced practitioners, but I do suggest that you have worked with me to some extent prior to the holiday.
I will offer one or two yoga classes each day, and I hope to include one evening relaxation class during the 5 days.
Yoga mats will be provided, but I suggest you bring your own light wieght travel mat to place of top. I am planning a practice that can be adapted to not require the use of equipment, however, bring your own blocks and belts if you feel you will need them.

Travel Arrangements
Flights:
The nearest airport is Poprad, BUT flights are limited to only one or two each week. We are therefore going to meet at Krakow airport. There are numerous options from various airports, BUT to take advantage of the group transfer that is included in our price I suggest the following.
Outgoing:
Easyjet from Gatwick on Tuesday 26th May
EZY8821 - Departing at 09.25 - Arrving at Krakow at 12.55
Returning:
Easyjet from Krakow on Sunday 31st May
EZY8822 - Deoarting at 14.15 - Arriving at Gatwick at15.55
Transfers from and back to Krakow airport:
Based on the suggested flights we will arrange pick up from Krakow at approximately 2pm and be taken back to Kralow in time for the return flight. If you choose alternative flights or even alternative days to arrive/return in Krakow then plan to be at the airport for pick-up OR arrange a private transfer at your own additonal cost.
Our transfer from Krakow to our retreat is approximately 2.5hours and the cost is included in the price as long as you are at the airport at the alloted time. The transfer will be arranged by our hosts, and they wil be there to meet us.
Suggestion to visit Krakow City:
It might be the case that you choose to spend a day or two extra in Krakow either before or after our retreat.
I personally plan to arrange an Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour and probably a City tour, but if you want to do similiar it will be up to you to arrange this to suit yourself, and find accommodation and alternative flights accordingly.
You will need to email me the details of your flight once it is booked.
I will email a contact list (with each person's permission) of the other guests so that you can coordinate transport and share cars to and from the airports if you wish.
Anything else you need to know?
Travel insurance:
It is strongly advised to obtain a personal travel insurance to cover yourself in case of illness or accident, and to cover flight cancellations/delays etc. In the extremely unlikely event of needing mountain rescue, this is covered by the insurance provided by our hosts.
Passports and travel documents:
Please check the expiry date of your passport and other entry requirements on the government website of the country you’re travelling from. Check if you require a visa to travel to Slovakia and allow adequate time to arrange before departure.
The local currency/spending money is the Euro - how much to take will depend on your desire to buy 'goodies', but you will need money for: Lunches each day and Dinners on day 2 and 4 Further activities – leisure day activities, electric bike hire, cable cars etc
There is free WIFI. Generally there is phone reception but it can depend on what UK provider you might have.
