Upon completion of the Teacher Training course, graduates of a registered will be able to register with the IYN and YAP as tutor members and will be able to apply to them for teaching insurance.
What does the course include?
The early part of the course (Foundation) will cover basic principles of movement, relaxation, breath awareness, pranayama and Hatha yoga philosophy. We will learn about the classic postures and the main aim will be to develop personal practise disciplines, routines and understanding..
In the second part of the course we will start to explore the planning of teaching programmes with adaptations for special populations | Classroom management and class marketing | On-line teaching techniques and presentation | In-depth anatomy with specialist tutors | Guest tutors bringing specialist knowledge in different fields | Ongoing mentoring and assessment during the course | Project based assignments.
There will be a practical teaching assessment at the end of the course.
A full syllabus with details of the content of each day, and homework assignments
will be issued upon enrolment and deposit payment.
Who are the Trainers?
We have more than 40 years teaching experience between us.
Amanda as been training Yoga Teachers since 2001 for one of the longest established teaching organisations in the UK”, and I am the founder and owner of Yoga for Harmony which has been well established as a recognised yoga studio for over 15 years.
As lead trainers we will provide mentoring both during and after the course. We will be joined by senior members of the YFH faculty and a selection of guest tutors who are all experts in their field.
What are the Course Dates?
The course will run 2 Sundays per month 9.30am to 4.30pm.
Sept 18th and 25th | Oct 9th and 31st | Nov 6th and 27th
Jan 8th and 29th | Feb 5th and 26th | Mar 5th and 26th | April 2nd and 30th
May 7th and 21st | June 4th and 25th | July 2nd and 16th
90% attendance is required for teaching certification to allow for any possible emergencies.
The 7 ‘Foundation’ Days complete by 8th January 2023 and can be stand alone or can lead on to a further 15 days to complete a full 200hr Teacher Training.
What are the costs?
7 ‘Foundation’ only days £700.00 payable prior to the start of the course (non-refundable deposit £250.00)
Full course (including Foundation) £3,000.00 payable prior to the start of the course. A non-refundable deposit of £500 is required after interview and being accepted on the course and to confirm your enrollment.
Monthly direct debit instalment payments are available upon request.
These would be 10 installments of £275 after the deposit payment payable at the start of each month.
Alternatively, the 7 ‘Foundation’ days are available only, for £700.00 payable prior to the start of the course.

Who is the course suitable for?
The course is suitable for students who have practised Yoga regularly for 2 years or more and who would like to develop their practice or learn to teach Yoga.
Applicants will need to attend an informal Interview which will take place during June 2021 at Yoga for Harmony Studio, Windsor. Interviews will be arranged following receipt of interest.
