Thursday Classes  

 9.45am – 11.00am Hatha Yoga with Ali  

Ali's yoga classes are true to the teachings of Hatha, and are all inclusive. As a teacher, above all, she nurtures kindness, compassion, a sense of curiosity and playfulness. She gives students confidence, acceptance, tolerance and the experience of peace that yoga has given her. Ali feels honoured and privileged to pass on her learning, her teacher’s vision and inspiration to her students.   
Ali's style of yoga teaching incorporates a Mindful approach which  encourages students to practice with a self-exploratory attitude to their postures in a kind, non competitive safe environment.

  11.30am – 12.30pm Introduction to Vinyasa & Yin Yoga with Angela 

This class is a combination and introduction to vinyasa and yin yoga. Vinyasa, a yang asana, is complimented with yin asana, for complete equilibrium. The pace of this class is slow and aimed at, but not limited to, beginners and new comers to yoga. 
 
Vinyasa yoga is a smooth transition between postures. Vinyasa, meaning pairing of breath with movement, cultivates self-awareness by aligning the body and mind. The steady cycle of inhales and exhales provides calming and mental focus. 
 
Yin yoga is a practice which works with the parasympathetic nervous system, the system which is active during rest and digestion. Yin yoga brings us to a state of relaxation, practising to sit in a pose for longer periods and preparing the body for meditation. To be in the yin state of being, when forming yin shapes unique to your body, you will not engage muscles but rather rest into position.

 6.15pm – 7.15pmm Flow Yoga with Lisa starting January 2022 

Join me on the mat to reconnect with your body. Allow the yoga postures to heal and nourish your whole system.

 7.45pm – 9.15pm Qigong/TaiChi with David 

Qigong is a holistic system of self-healing exercises and meditation, an ancient evolving practice, based on the Taoist principles of Yin and Yang. Tai Chi is a form of Qigong and is a moving meditation, a series of movements grouped together to make the ‘form’. Qigong and Tai Chi exercises focus on the mind, posture, breathing and movement stimulating the flow of Qi along the meridians. 
 
Qigong and Tai Chi exercises can help to: 
 
Increase internal strength 
Improve co-ordination, balance, flexibility, and mobility 
Reduce hypertension, improve immune system 
Strengthen bones and tone up muscles 
Relax the mind and calm the nervous system
