Mixed abilities/beginners welcome 

Monday Classes  

10am - 11am Chair Yoga with Julie – ‘on-line’ only 

A yoga practise based on being seated on a chair (dining room/kitchen). Suitable for those with specific movement limiting conditions. 
 
Developed originally for a group of ladies/gentlemen with neurological conditions such as M.S. and Parkinson's. 
 
We have now expanded to include any condition that severely limits mobility and where it is appropriate to remain seated. On occasion we stand, but this is easily adapted if that is not possible. 
 
We include breathing practises and some meditation/relaxation practises, and the focus is to move as much as possible in a functional way using yoga practises, but respecting the limitations of the individual and the limitations of remaining seated.

11.30am - 12.45pm Hatha Yoga for All with Julie 

A general class for all ages, abilities and experience – beginners are welcome. 
 
The yoga I teach is an evolution of nearly 30 years of practice and study, with a broad experience of many styles and teachers. In recent years I have been moving away from ‘external’ evaluation of the postures and moving towards an ‘internal’ sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential and ‘felt’ approach, influenced by teachers who have been inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli. 
 
Whilst practising Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, I will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure, encouraging awareness of fundamental anatomical and functional aspects required by our bodies for maximum wellbeing and mobility.

7.45pm - 8.45pm Yoga for Beginners (8 week Courses) 

The Beginners Yoga Course is suitable for those looking for a gentle introduction into Yoga, those returning to Yoga after a break, or for anyone recovering from injury. 
 
By committing to a course you become fully committed to practise each week and will be able to notice changes over the 2 month period. 
 
As a teacher working with the same core group of students each week enables me to tailor the content to each individual in the group as you progress. 
 
We will cover functional movement, breathing practise and relaxation.
