Join Jane Kight for a wonderful 'Equinox' sound bath
Sunday March 20 @ 8.00pm - 9.30pm
On this day when light and dark are of equal length, we feel the pull towards planting seeds (for life changes, ideas, projects, etc.) as well as the related pull towards transformation. Sound healing is a wonderful modality to open the heart, free the creative subconscious, and release stuck-ness in the body.
And so many benefits to health and well-being can be achieved, including: less muscle tension and physical pain, better sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, mental clarity and emotional healing, as well as an increased sense of well-being and a positive mood-state.
Instruments: Gong, Himalayan Singing Bowls, Crystal Bowls, Chimes, gentle therapeutic percussion
Participants relax in a comfortable position on floor mats whilst the practitioner plays a variety of sound instruments in certain ways, combinations, and sequences designed to enable deep therapeutic relaxation. (Please bring your own pillow, light blanket, and eye cover)
How Sound Therapy works: Sound is literally energy that we can hear and feel! And sound therapies can be a powerful form of energy healing. Sound waves can connect or “entrain” with our brain waves to induce deep healing, and are often used in trauma therapy. This holistic practice works with sound wave frequencies to remediate the body's systems as an integrated whole.
Backed by up-to-the-minute research, science is now proving what ancient cultures and practices have always known… sound is good medicine!
SPECIAL NOTE: Please bring an empty tea cup or mug for yourself. We will have a simple tea ceremony for Equinox after the healing session. You will be welcome to enjoy the tea I prepare (completely optional), and enjoy the ceremony.
