Standing Poses for Middle Aged Bodies with Chetna Menon 

As our bodies get older, we start to experience a decline in flexibility that can prevent us from functioning normally. And yet we may be wary of starting a stretching program because we are not flexible enough!  
In this workshop, we will explore how to approach fundamental standing yoga poses as a middle-aged beginner. We will learn the correct alignment, and what to prioritise in any pose. We debunk myths like ‘deeper is always better’ and learn to meet our bodies wherever they are. 
We will follow that up with breathing exercises and a discussion on concepts 
from Patanjali’s Yogasutra. 
The schedule of the workshop is as follows: 
15:00- 16:00- Asana practice 
16:05- 16:30- Pranayama 
16:30-16:50- Discussion on yoga philosophy 
16:50-17:00- Chai and goodbyes!
