Yin Yoga is the ultimate antidote to a busy life!
This slow, meditative practice works deep into the connective tissues - ligaments, tendons and fascis - by holding poses forlonger, typically 3-5 minutes. It's gentle, yet deeply effective in improving flexibility, joint mobility and circulation.
Unlike more dynamic, movement-based styles of yoga, Yin invites stillness and surrender. Muscles are encouraged to soften, allowing the body to open gradually and safely.
The three key principles of Yin Yoga are:
Finding your edge - easing into each pose at just the right depth
Staying still - giving time for tension to gently melt away
Softening - encouraging relaxation rather than force
Beyond the physical benefits, Yin is a powerful practice for calming the nervous system, reducing stress and restoring inner balance. It offers a quiet space to slow down, tune in and reconnect with yourself.
