Introduction to Yoga and Nada based relaxation with Wayne

Apr 29 @ 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm

Drop-in £8:

Suitable for all:Wayne Boyce Sing bowls and lights

Move, stretch and lie back to the healing sounds of the gong to release tension and blocks in the body and quieten the mind.

Everyone has a vibration that is a signature of their health and wellbeing these sounds and vibrations can be used to re-tune us to a healthy state. The sound of the gongs and bowls are calming, and one of many methods used for relaxation and meditation with the sounds inducing a sense of peacefulness and wherever there is a sound, there is a vibration. When we use sound coupled with intention, we can direct sound vibration to raise the body’s vibrational frequency.Wayne Boyce Gong and bowls

Combining different techniques including gentle movement, pranayama, moving meditation, concentration and mindfulness to bring back a sense of peace to Mind and Body.

I will also use the healing sounds of the Gong and Sing bowls to help tune out of the everyday sounds and inducing a sense of peacefulness and a place of deep relaxation.

Wayne Boyce (FRYOG Dip):

I came to Yoga in 2010 after being involved with and practicing various martial arts. After 4 years of practice I decided that all I had learnt and discovered across the Arts had many similarities and should be passed on to others, who may want a different look at their yoga practice, so I recently took the plunge and completed my 200hr teaching diploma with FRYOG (Friends of Yoga).

After getting a little lost during my teacher training, a set of Sing bowls and Gongs fell in to my life. These have transformed into an entirely different set of disciplines and its effects help bring a new dimension in to mine and others practice…the learning never stops as we all progress along our path.

kundalini image for websiteSelected Saturdays throughout the year: £15 prebook with tutor:

If you are looking for a way to unwind and rejuvenate? Then this is for you. Kundalini Yoga is a toolkit for real life. Come and spend a few hours immersed in beautiful and uplifting energy. Move your body and free your soul…

If you feel that you never have enough time, or that the world is moving faster by the minute then you’re not alone. We live in remarkable times, but we all need a little help to cope with the pressures of 21st century living.

Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is known as the Yoga of Awareness. It is a fun, ‘do-able’ and transformational yoga for busy lives. It has countless benefits – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. But ultimately its purpose is to bring happiness, and fulfilment of your potential as a human being.

All kinds of people come to Kundalini Yoga classes. In fact, it has been said that if you can breathe and you lean in the right direction, you will receive some benefit!

A typical class consists of a kriya (a set of exercises, often done to music, in a specific order and for a specific benefit), followed by a deep relaxation and a meditation. Our practice includes breath work(pranayam), yoga postures (asanas), chanting (mantra) and meditation.

Above all, Kundalini Yoga provides you with an experience of your highest consciousness through the raising of your Kundalini energy. It gives you the vitality and health that is your birthright and makes you radiant, peaceful and strong so you are better able to meet life’s challenges.

Monthly Deep Relaxation with Liz

May 6 @ 3:30 pm – 4:30 pm

amber candle

Selected Saturdays throughout the year: £10 prebook with tutor:

This is our regular relaxation session which takes place one Saturday in the month De-stress mind and body with the practice of deep relaxation.

Ever gone to bed exhausted, and got up in the morning still feeling fatigued? We mostly retain the tensions that we go to sleep with, whether these are muscular, or mental and emotional stresses. In order to fully relax and benefit from our rest, these tensions must be released – which is what the techniques of deep relaxation are designed to do.

This release of tension reduces many of the symptoms of stress, such as tiredness, anxiety and insomnia. Deep relaxation has a balancing effect on the endocrine system, calms the nervous system as well as aiding digestion and the heart and circulatory systems. It is beneficial to practice during pregnancy.

No previous experience of yoga is necessary. The practice involves lying down for an hour and listening to simple instructions in a warm studio with under-floor heating. Wear warm, loose, comfortable clothing; mats, blankets and cushions are available.

Benefit from the restorative relaxation of body and mind through sense withdrawal, distance yourself from external distractions and enter a relaxed state of consciousness through the experience of pratyhara, one of Patanjali’s eight limbs of yoga.

Cost: £10

How to Book:yoga-candle-meditation-oc7wch You can book on-line using the ‘green tickets box’.

Gong Bath Meditation with Chloe

May 6 @ 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm

Selected Saturdays throughout the year: £15 prebook with tutor

IMG_5976The nurturing sound vibrations created by the Gong and singing bowls will transport you to a place of deep relaxation. It is in this state that the vibrations can work their magic through your mind, body and soul, releasing physical and emotional blockages.

This experience is a beautiful way to begin to let go of that which is no longer serving you. The tones created are often a useful distraction from the activities of the mind….so if you are new to meditation, or find that you are easily distracted…then this workshop could be the perfect fit for you.

The session will begin with Pranayama to steady the mind and balance the energy of your body….then you will be asked to relax in whatever position is most comfortable to your body…and you will be transported to wherever it is you need to go.

It would be my pleasure to have you join me at my Gong Bath at Yoga for Harmony in Windsor.
