Teacher Training at  Yoga for Harmony

Our next 300 hour Teacher Training Course starting in September 2024
and will complete in December 2025.

For students without an existing Foundation Course or who have no previous teaching experience, you will need to complete four 'Yoga for Harmony Course Preparation Sessions' prior to commencing the teacher training course, and which take place
in September and October 2024
Yoga for Harmony is a Registered School with Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP)
and the course is fully accredited with this organisation.

Why choose Yoga for Harmony for your Training?

There are hundreds of yoga teacher training qualifications available, but not all are delivered by tutors/organisations actually accredited by a recognised body to train prospective yoga teachers. Many are quick and cheap, but do not include the depth of learning needed to be fully equiped, capable and well informed tutors. Our course offers a considerable depth of tuition, information and personal experience in the teaching arena, a lot of which is not accessible on shorter courses.

You will finish feeling confident, well informed and practised in taking your own classes whether they are in the private venue hire or the health club field.

Choosing an accredited course, such as the Yoga for Harmony course, will ensure you gain an industry-recognised qualification at the end of it.
That means it will meet the exacting standards set out by the yoga profession.

Upon completion of the Teacher Training course, graduates of a certifiied Yoga Organisation will be able to register with the YAP as tutor members
and will be able to apply to them for teaching insurance.

Your tutors have many years of experience in teaching, training and owning and managing an independant yoga studio. We will draw on expertise from specialist guest tutors during the course.

Your learning environment will be in a purpose built yoga studio. A space dedicated to the teachings and practise of traditional and modern yoga. We have many on site resources and learning materials.

What does the course include?

The early part of the course will cover basic principles of movement, relaxation, breath awareness, pranayama and Hatha yoga philosophy. We will learn about the classic postures and the main aim will be to develop personal practise disciplines, routines and understanding..

In the second part of the course we will start to explore the planning of teaching programmes with adaptations for special populations | Classroom management and class marketing | On-line teaching techniques and presentation | In-depth anatomy with specialist tutors | Guest tutors bringing specialist knowledge in different fields | Ongoing mentoring and assessment during the course | Project based assignments.

There will be a practical teaching assessment at the end of the course.
